Project description: This is a current directed studies project at Simon Fraser University (Kinesiology Department) to analyze bellydance movements using motion capture and electromyography for the purposes of understanding and accurately describing the biomechanics of bellydance movements, confirming or improving teaching methods and assessing injury risk.

Venus and her students performed on June 15, 2003 at the First Annual Venus Bellydance Student Recital held at the Roundhouse Arts and Recreation Centre in Vancouver (one of the many locations Venus teaches at).

Venus:
Based on a Choreography by Hadia of Calgary, Venus dances to Mashaal.

Veil Dance:
Venus and members of her Repertory class (Lisa Jordan, Michelle Etienne, Iva Kulic and Karen Aiello) perform a Venus choreography to "Ahla Leila".

Techno:
East/West fusion piece choreographed by Venus, music by Iskender Paydas.
